Draft at Jerry's Andersonville.
Amber body with a good level of clarity, rising visible carbonation. Compact head of foam that leaves irregular spotty lacing around the edges of the glass,
Fruity plum esters in the aroma, pitted fruit, earthy yeast, nice complexity.
Lightly tart fruit, tastes more like plum than cherry, earthy bitterness, cherry pit, dry aftertaste. Crisp and light to medium bodied, feel is smooth. Easily drinkable, would have had another if time allowed. Pretty nicely balanced with an authentic saison yeast and natural fruit character. Better than so many lame, overly spiced American saisons out there, don't really get the uneven "ratings" here.

Amber appearance with nice clarity. Not much head to speak of. Nose starts with yeasty saison notes, mild funk along with aromas of Autumn. Cherry comes through and integrates nicely. Taste is bright with refreshing cherry notes, followed by lemon zest, grain, and orange. Mouthfeel is light and moderate carbonation. Overall, light and refreshing with decent flavors.

sample on draft at brewery. reviewed from notes taken 7/31/2013.
Appearance: yellow bodied beer with thin white cap. Drops down to no head.
Smell: grainy with wheat malts. Just a hint of cherry juice.
Taste: Mostly saison flavors here with very faint cherry notes. Grainy and yeasty. Light hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Crisp and drinkable. The mouthfeel is the beers best attribute.
Overall: Really not much to say here. Was fairly dissapointed with this beer. Rob really played it safe with this beer since it was his first saison that he has brewed. I think that a big and bold saison with a nice sweet cherry kick would have been amazing, but it just didnt happen. Not even close. I really love alot of Tyranena beers, but this one just fell short.
