12 ounce bottle in a nonic pint glass. Retired, yes, but a local liquor store had a 4-pack on the shelf, 12/22/2023.
Pitch black color with a darkish British tan color cap, minimal in size with wavy lacing that dissipates.
Aromas of cocoa, brown sugar, dark chocolate, and roasted malt.
Molasses soaked roasted malt flavor, dark chocolate, oat fiber.
Not quite full bodied but strong medium RIS feel. Chewy oats.
100% English style RIS. Merry Christmas!

Khaki head; minimal lace.
Dark fruit, burnt wood & cereal nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Burnt coffee & oat cereal flavor; odd, off-putting but drinkable.

I drive across town to buy this. Nice version of the style, so definitely not sessionable. Tasty and not as alcohol-forward as the ABV might indicate.
