A juicy, fruit-infused hazy IPA with colorful pineapple, sweet raspberry, and a little lactose for a milkshake-y mouthfeel. It’s boozy breakfast for the crafty kid in you. Toy not included … unless you pour a couple of these, at which point anything is a toy. “Far out. A spoon!”

Got this, thinking it would taste similar to Bamm Bamm Loves Pebbles from Will County Brewing, but it tastes nothing like it. Not a lot of fruit taste and zero milkshake flavor. I like Stevens Pointe's stuff, but not this one.

12 oz. bottle, no bottled information.

My first beer from Stevens Point Brewery, acquired a single bottle as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's.

A - Pours a nice golden orange body; typical IPA in appearance, finger of white head that fades pretty quickly, leaving only a ring. Some nice sediment; unfiltered appearance. Definitely not what I would describe as New England style, not "hazy" in the sense of the orange juice appearance. It's not a bad appearance, but not to the style of "Hazy Milkshake IPA" so it's getting the 3.5

S - Aroma seems pretty dusty & grainy, malt-forward in aroma. Has a sort of musty strawberry rhubarb sort of flavor. Bottle does say that this contains lactose, but I'm not finding any on the nose.

T - Fruity & flavorful, notes of orange, tangerine, lemon peels, whole cone hop bitterness, lots of caramel malt, some yeast presence. Not exactly what I would describe as "hazy" or "milkshake" that's for sure, more traditional American IPA in style and flavor, but that's fine by me. Again, not pulling much lactose, but the sweetness is there when you're paying attention.

M - Crisp, smooth, creamy. Medium-bodied, i guess it's the lactose that makes it feel more filling?

Overall, not what i would describe as New England in style, more traditional American IPA. Either way, I'm enjoying the flavor profile and the balance of this thing, and I would try more from this brewery.

dark orange almost coppery slightly stained(haze) body with a finger of white bubbly head, no floating particles, surprisingly clear for a milkshake style, aromatic of hops mainly with some fruit essense, very smooth IPA with the harshness nearly cancelled out by the creamyness of the milkshake and fruit, fruity hops on the pallate with a smooth creamy (cereal milk) finish, not sugary, slightly dry mouthfeel but not bad, alc % hidden well by flavor

12 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a tulip glass

This beer pours amber with slight hazy to it. It is definitely not hazy in terms of a "hazy" IPA. It is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves little lacing.

Stale Fruity Pebbles. Light citrus

I taste stale cereal as well. I get some citrus. No vanilla or lactose which I would expect with a "milkshake" IPA.

Medium bodied with a prickly mouthfeel

I expected to be underwhelmed and was not disappointed.

12 oz bottle, no date anywhere on pack or bottle, into Bearded Iris stem.

Fogged up toffee color with an off-white head of 2 fingers, receding to 1, stable. Swooped lace up the sides as it recedes. A pretty beer.

The aroma brings a presence of caramel malt and fruity pebbles cereal. A hint of semi-sweet pina colada can also be sampled. The aroma in general is not very loud, but it's not offensive either.

Flavor is very heavy crisp caramel malt, almost tasting like a toasted amber ale. But there's a problem. Lactose is here, which brings a funky sweet milk note to the party. The caramel malt and lactose race each other for first place. Fruity pebbles cereal enters the chat. Finally, some pine and quiet notes of citrus peel fade out on the finish.

Feel is crisp and full bodied, pretty beefy for its style. Resinous on the finish, a little dryness. Full in the stomach. Fills you up quick.

Overall, this is more like a hoppy amber ale with lactose. It's not terrible, it's not great. There are hints of fruity pebbles in this beer so the name plays out. The level of offensiveness is kept minimal but the lactose and toasted malts are kinda weird to each other. I'll keep sipping the 6 pack when I'm in the mood for a west coast beer but I probably won't return to buy it. They should have taken a lighter approach on the crystal malt.

Pours a medium gold color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of sweet fruit. Taste is an odd mix of pineapple and raspberry with some hoppy bitterness at the finish
