Appearance: Slightly hazy pale gold, big head.
Smell: Mild citrus, light fruit cup sweetness.
Taste: Mild sweetness, then a kind of caramel undertone with a prickly citrus/melon flavor. Low to mid bitterness, medium bodied. Finishes with the melon note.
Overall: When I picked up a single of this at the brewery, the bartender said “it’s bitter!”, but it seems pretty mild to me. Interesting flavor, not too familiar with talus hops. Worth a try.

Pours form a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of fresh citrus hops with piney notes. Tastes of citrus hops with fake piney notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

12 oz can into a Becker.
L: SRM 12.5 Pours slightly yeasty clear amber with a 1/4" crusty off-white head , lush steady carbonation, very good head retention down to thick frothy, leaves a medium-heavy mix of lacing with a couple of banding lines.
S: Caramelized malts, distant fruits.
T: Caramelized malts, citrus, a hint of brown sugar, citrus zest, pine resin, a note of dry fruit bread, it is gently "crunchy" sweet then bitterness kicks in. It is mildly robust but not heavy, and has a hint of bread dough in the finish.
F: Brisk, bright medium to med-light feel with a fairly wet middle and a medium-long lightly drying finish.
O: A great tasting American Ale! It has a slightly similar overall base taste as some Lagunitas Ales. Very savory, has a lush feel, and has exquisite balance. I will buy this again. It is excellent in its style.

Despite living in Wisconsin, I had never seen this on the shelf before. I decided to give it a shot. I'm not one to judge by appearances, but it was just slightly hazy out of the can and into a pint with about 3/4" of head on a slow pour down the middle of the glass. The first sip reminded me of Founders Mosiac Promise just a bit. Not too malty with a decent hop presence. Pretty good for the money at $14.99/ 12 pack! Definitely crushable and not too heavy.

A good example of the style. Definite citrus aroma but it avoids the excesses that pale ales are prone to. Not bitter and almost sessionable. Something you can drink even if you hate IPAs.

New APA from Point. Seems like every few years they retire one and release a new one.
Poured into a pint glass, the beer is a hazy copper with a dense beige head.
It has a big aroma of hops. Not sure if it is the Mosaic or the Talus, but they are pleasantly pungent.
The taste is right in the wheelhouse for the style. Pleasantly but not overwhelming bitter. Notes of pine and citrus. There is caramel malt and then a touch of toffee in the backend.
The mouth is slighly coating and the beer at 5.6% is pretty crushable.
Point gives part of the proceeds to the Green Circle Trail in Stevens Point. That's a worth cause as I have enjoyed those trails myself.
