12oz bottle. Served in a snifter glass.
Pours a dark brown-amber body, one finger offwhite head with good retention. Sporadic lacing. Smells of maple syrup and brown sugar, it's actually quite well done here, even if a little one dimensional. It smells quite a bit like the brown sugar instant oatmeal (the kind that Quaker sells), actually. Flavour isn't quite as nice though- a bit astringent in addition to the brown sugar and maple syrup; a bit of noble hops. Not too complicated, straightforward maple syrup and brown sugar. Mouthfeel is on the thinner side, but perfectly drinkable. Good carbonation. A bit on the earthy sweet side. Overall, a fairly unique brown ale and one I can definitely appreciate. It reminds me of eating the brown sugar flavoured instant oatmeal, but without the milk.

very unique beer, sweet with definite taste/smell of maple sugar, this beer is especially for those that like their beer a little unique and without the overpowering scent/taste of alcohol...this is not going to show up on the list of best beers ever made because it's not a IPA or an imperial stout, but that doesn't mean it isn't great

Solid Brown Ale with a super inviting nose smelling of Maple Syrup.
Taste is a fine Maple flavor with a nutty Hazelnut flavor mixing in. Not much more jumping out in the taste but I very much enjoy what's here.
Definitely will seek this beer out again. One of my favorite offerings from this brewery.

poured 12oz bottle into a snifter.
A - Dark amber brown with a 1.5 finger off white head that disappears pretty quickly. Leaves a thick collar and minimal lacing on the glass.
S - Maple syrup, pancakes, light nutty, grainy, sweet malt aroma, with a little bit of dark fruit in the background. Pleasant aroma.
T - Very mellow version of the aroma, not too sweet. A balanced taste of nutty, slightly sweet malts with just a hint of maple at the back end. Nothing really jumps to the forefront, but solid flavor.
M - On the lighter side of medium with decent carbonation, Almost feels like a scotch ale. It's rather easy drinking.
O - Interesting take on a brown ale and done with real maple syrup to give it a pleasant flavor. If you like pure maple syrup on your pancakes, you may enjoy this beer. ABV seems to be around 5-6%
