Light brown color, the usual Widmer clarity is jacked, you can see just a hint of berry color in it. Fruity pebbles wheat aroma.
Thin wheat base, sweetener, not much in the way of beer-y stuff in this. Fruit notions supplanted by corn syrup, instead of well, fruit.

Light auburn color, tons of clarity, expected some kind of fruit hue to it beyond the minimal pinkish current running through it, but otherwise, didn't really pick up on it. Sweet kids drink aroma with wheat, not really fruity essence.
More sweetness, gristy wheat presence lets you know its still beer (well that and the appearance), no hops, super thin body, really wanted some Oregon blackberry to come out here, but was minorly disappointed.
Not terrible, but not recommended, and easy to see why its discontinued. I think the label design shown must have been the last, because it isn't the bottle I had.

Appearance: Pours a nice copper with pink hues. Fizzy white head disappates into feeble lacing. Nice bubbles.
Smell: Fruity, raspberry, blackberry, biscuity malt, hops are negligable.
Taste: Light berry flavors upfront, a little bready flavor, then a surprising citrus hops cleans it up and leaves a puckering taste and finishes dry.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied and light fizzy carbonation, apple cider like.
Drinkability: This was surpsingly tasty. The berry flavor is subtle and well balanced. Smell and first taste are the best. Went well with korean grilled short ribs and kimchee.

12oz bottle pours dark ruby, very slight offwhite head and some light lacings, smell is mainly raspberry, kind of overypowers everything else.
Mouthfeel is watery and a bit weak. Flavor is sweet berry, with the wheat malt and hops taking a back seat. Frankly this is a bit weak on "beer" taste. But my wife loves it and I have to say it is extremely drinkable and tastes good.

My recent visit to Widmer's Gasthaus, and my sampling of their obscure draft-only beers, piqued my curiosity about some of their more mainstream, bottled beers (many of which are untried by me). However, Widberry, I am sad to discover, is not something I'm particularly fond of, definitely not in the league with Widmer's Muscat Love, or their Bourbon Barrel Aged KGB Imperial Stout, or even their Alt or Oktoberfest. This may be due to my disinclination towards raspberries. Particularly in beverage format. I've found a couple fruit beers I've liked, but I don't think any of them had raspberries in it. New Glarus may be an exception. Most of the raspberry beers I've tried have reminded me of watery raspberry flavored soda, and the raspberry flavor seems to be there solely to cover up the heavenly taste of BEER, for those pathetic, dreary members of the drinking party who generally never touch the stuff. Oh well, something for everybody I guess. Anyway, this beer pours friggin' PINK with decent head, good lacing, medium-strength nose of raspberries, flavor of raspberries, crisp and refreshing on the whole, ok mouthfeel, but not a damn thing like beer. Can't taste the hops, can't taste the barley, can't taste the yeast. All I get are these damn raspberries.
In conclusion, all I can say about this beer is <<SOUND OF RASPBERRY>>.

Poured a deep copper color with minimal head that went fast, smelled of sweet rasberries, very appetizing.Taste is of soft malt and rasberries very nice and drinkable. There was some bread-like features from the malt in there as well, very good fruit/wheat beer with some complexity.

Bought in the typical Widmer brown bottle..Black Raspberry Widberry
This fruit beer has a good appearance in my mug..its a beautiful dark coppery colour with hints of red..a small head goes soon and I am left with a white ring around the glass..the carbonation looks very nice.
The smell is totally of Black raspberry..its strong but its also very atttractive not overpowering
This has to be one of the tastiest fruit flavoured beers I have had from any American brewer..the raspberry taste actually tastes like the real thing..not some "artificial flavouring"..very nice indeed very fresh..i also get a hint of the malt too.
Very nice feel in the mouth, I expected carbonation to be high but it was well balanced.
Overall a very very drinkable fruit flavoured beer..this would be a landmower beer par excellence.

Made with pale, wheat, carapils, and Munich malts; Tettnager hops for bittering and aroma.
17 IBU, 4.6% ABV, OG=11.5 degrees plato.
Brilliantly clear, light-amber with a reddish peach-skin color, forming a thin white head atop small bubbles with moderate-strong carbonation. Aroma is lovely with a ton of raspberry and blackberry, cloves, faint bananas, and very uniquely, movie theater buttered-popcorn/candy stand. I like the fact that this beer was fermented with a hybrid Bavarian/American wheat strain instead of the traditional American ale strain, giving it much more character. Hops are non-existent in the nose. Taste starts out firmly with sweet berries and fades into a soft malt sweetness that lasts throughout the finish. There is a mild alcohol presence for a brief second between the middle and finish. The finish has a very, very, subtle hop bitterness, with a mild wheat huskiness. The hops are kept to an absolute minimum. This is a one-dimensional beer, but is still enjoyable as a light dessert beer or as a nice alternative during hot summer days. The mouthfeel is very soft despite it's modest carbonation, and is light in body. One of the better-done fruit-wheat ales, not skimping out on the fruit like most other brewers do.

Pretty good for a fruit beer. The wife liked it when I was able to find it. Another victim of difficult NY distribution laws???

Presentation: 12 oz brown long neck donning raised glass of a big “W” for Widmer three times around the bottle … fancy eh? An ink jet printed drink before date above the label for freshness purposes.
Appearance: Reddish amber in colour with a mild chill haze, decent off white lace forms and settles into a very thin creamy lace … you can see a faint shade of pink within the lace.
Smell: Fresh tart berries, preferably raspberries. Soft and even malt sweetness adds a touch of bread to the nose also.
Taste: Light bodied with a smooth and well texture mouth feel, carbonation and wheat malt adds a perfect amount of crispness. Vague tartness from the raspberry flavour, slight spiciness from the hops and fermented wheat. A pinch of sharp bitterness makes its way to the front right after the crispness subsides, both raspberry and malt sweetness bring a pleasant flavour to the palate. Mild husky grain finishes things up with bread crust flavours and a ghost like hop flavour lingers into the after taste.
Notes: An all around decent fruit beer, does not rock the boat either way and stays satisfying throughout.
