Served on tap in a pint glass at RFD's.
Appearance: Ever so slightly hazy yellow topped by a small stark white head. Visible streamers of bubbles. A small layer of foam sticks around for awhile and allows thick sheets of foam to cover some, but not most, of the glass.
Smell: Orangey citrus meets noble grassy hops. Slight amount of pepper.
Taste: Juicy tropical fruits with a hint of grass greet your tongue at first. Light and bready malts on the middle. Something like Saaz-y pepper on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Very clean and crisp. Light in body, almost watery, but not to it's detriment.
Drinkability: A hoppy pilsener (or something like it), but done with fresh hops. Why should the ales have all the fun, eh? Smooth and easy drinkin'.

The lovely tap handle at the Gasthaus drew my attention to this beer, and my pointing at it to my family was enough for a waiter to pour a generous sample and bring it over. Awesome!
The beer is rather lovely. Its a slightly deeper golden than a standard lager, and kept a nice white creamy head.
The aroma was surprising, especially given the hop cone on the tap handle. I felt like I was smelling a bowl of applesauce with cinnamon already added. It was nice, but a surprise to say the least.
The taste was demure in its hopping. Just a little spicy bite, but most of the flavor was from its malts, which were substantial enough to identify it as a solid lager. It was slightly bready with its pale malts and really quite nice.
I was kind of surprised by it, and enjoyed it. I imagine it would be an excellent spring lager.

Tasted this at RFD in Washington DC during their wet hop tasting. This was an interesting idea, to wet hop a lager. It appeared a light orange color with a slight white head. Aroma was a bit faint but hoppy with floral and citrus notes. There was also a touch of malt in the nose as well. Taste was a bit fruity sweet and had a citric hoppy bitterness. Overall the taste was pretty weak but pleasant. Mouthfeel was light with pretty good drinkability. While the taste and the smell were weak they were still both fairly enjoyable though I dont think I would have this again.
