This is their Blood Orange Honey Saison or The Season of Blood! 17 IBU, 56 lbs of honey, 3rd collaboration with GBX.
This one was brewed in collaboration with funkydelic! Thanks to funkydelic for the share on this one! Served from tap into a Sweetwater snifter. Poured a golden yellow with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, orange zest, spice, wheat, earth, fruit, floral, and honey. The flavor was of sweet malt, banana, fruit, orange zest, wheat, earth, floral, and honey. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a fairly good brew. I really like what I found in this one as it was a very nice balance of sweetness and earthy/spiciness. The aroma was very inviting on this one which kept me coming back to smell it over and over before taking my first sip. The flavor was pretty nice as well and rather refreshing which made it very easy to drink. Really glad I got to try this one as I had been hearing about it for a little while. Definitely worth trying at least once if you see it on tap at the brewpub. Tick.
