I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Although it is marketed as a "spring beer", I found it to be more in the direction of a (strong)blond.
It pours a nice golden, slightly shaded beer with a very nice lacing stable head.
The smell was kind of grassy and resinous (not in your face), with distinct herbal and caramel notes. Probably coriander or something like that has been added.
Taste was bitter and dry with caramel notes, which were a bit to the backside, so no sticky caramel. No sign of any herbs added in the taste. This is a very drinkable beer, which leaves a nice dry and powerfull taste, especially for a 6,5% ABV!

Excellent beer!

served 50f, pours active 25% head, even a few minutes after pour there is a lot of carbonation trickling up in this beer. Floral hoppy nose, very fresh smell,

taste is very heavily carbonated, with hints of metal, very malty and something of a surprise, not what i expected from the smell. hyper-carbonated in the mouth, if I was tested blind I would swear this beer came from a can (it is a bottle).

Aftertaste is unremarkable but pleasant aside from said metal note; hops seem to come back and dominate the almost-overwhelming malt character of the taste. Some floral notes pop up as well.

I do not love this beer but it is worth a try, particularly if the metal-note is an abberation.

I have reviewed 2 other biers from Silly and all 3 have metallic taste.

Best before 23-02-07. Poors in great with enormous snowhite head. Later on it forms a nice mountainious landscape up on top of your enjoable brew. Beercolour is pale gold and bubles pearl up all the time. Nose is good also giving notes of pale malts and good hoparome with litle sournes and koreander witch makes it very fresh alltogether. Taste is as clean as the nose but maybe litle too clean. Dry malty, koreander spicy and fresh and fruity as a sping beer should be. Enjoyable beer but the emptyness of the brew makes the alcohol content appear as high and makes it nothing realy special. However alltogether more then just drinkable and a good beer to drink in the warming springsun.

Poured from a bottle with a golden color and white head made up of clean, large bubbles. The aroma is yeasty sweet with a full dose of maltiness. The flavor is clean and light with a crisp malt flavor. Also some notes of fresh fruits like apple are there.

The big downfall of this beer in my opinion is that has way too much pointed carbonation. It is to the point of being uncomfortable. To support this amount of insane carbonation, I think it needs a more bold flavor than what its got.

Hazy golden pour. Nice foamy head sticks to the glass like a wonder. Great looks. Very grassy smell, as farmy as I can wish for, citrusy sweet, floral. Suggestions of meringous, haystack, mint… Enticing to me. A bit tarter than I expected (citric), but since it’s so flowery at the same time, it appears well blended. There’s a bit less depth than on the nose though so I just don’t appreciate it as much on the tongue. Very grassy, gentle hoppiness. Highly carbonated mouthfeels, very fluffy. Maybe a bit overcarbonated in fact to carry the flavours to their maximum potential.

Appearance: light gold, good clarity, big layer of dense foam with long staying power (like a Duvel), LACE

Aroma: lightly fruity and a bit spicy (clove), cotton candy, very light hop scent

Flavor: mild malt sweetness with a musty overtone, a healthy dose of herbal hop flavor, canned pineapple, finishes dryish with a surprising level of bitterness (not that it's bitter, just more than I expected) and a little yeasty in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: medium body, zesty carbonation, refreshing

Overall Impression: Pleasantly surprised by this one. A really great beer. It is a new seasonal (Spring) offering that would be great to stock-pile and enjoy over the summer. Similar to Saison Dupont, but more in line with a blonde than a saison (i.e.- cleaner and less complex).
