Quite dark color, with red mahogany reflexes. Good brownish compact head.
The smell is malt, caramel, and a lot of fruitiness. There is also a quite particular hint, something like just crushed malt. After some while, some woody and vanilla notes. A lot of cherries.
The taste is maybe something like a flemish ale, with a woody note, and cherries, quite strong, even if the sourness is scarce, almost null. Some alcohol, but not too much, considering the 8% ABV. Some exaggerated sweetness, even if mitigated by some sourness.
A bit too sweetnes mouthfeel, and particularly aftertaste.
The drinkability is a bit lowered by that.

Murky reddish-brown color, the head minute in size, clumpy in texture, the color light tan and what little lace there is forms a patchy sheet upon the glass. The aroma of over ripe plums, malt, sweet caramel, pleasant enough with a cloyingly sweet malt laden start, top middling in feel. Mildly acidic, the hops personable in their spicy presence, droughty aftertaste, drinkable, but tends to be a bit to sweet for my palate.
