I'm not going to make a fuss about this, but this wheat beer should be re-styled as a wit. Even though it probably can't be a great wit because the fruity yeast thing has limits in warm climates, Edelweiss nonetheless does what a wit does.
I increasingly drink wits with western foods. This Edelweiss is a nice beer to eat with Asian food. It is soft and calms the palate and the wheat introduces a complement to a culture that uses lots of rice.
Edelweiss has a generous foam, but that's it; good wits also have active protein swirls. I'm smelling more wheat than the spices and fruits associated with the wit. Edelweiss is balanced, but that's because it doesn't try to do too much either. Light-mouthed.
I have no problem with the Big Boys coming into a low-beer culture and crafting beers for their cuisine. In fact, it is a good idea.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
