This pours a golden tan color with light foaming and a light estery aroma reminiscent of a Belgian pale ale or triple. I get some light orangey hop notes to round it out.
The flavor comes across as … salty. It’s lightly bodied, like a blonde Belgian ale, but with an unmistakable saltiness that dominates the first impressions. As I spend more time with this I am able to notice the bitter hopping and the orange-tangerine notes from the hop profile at play along with some fruit cake and candied fruit notes. This beer finishes salty and dry. An interesting expression of a style I know very little about.
