Copenhagen 6/5 2018.. 33 cl little, chubby bottle from Føtex. Yellow label making a big deal of winning a World Beer Award for France (which seems to be a contradiction in terms).
Pours slightly hazy, pale yellow with a very big white head. Settles as 4 cm thick fluffy layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense and very sweet. Sugary, banana, marzipan and light notes of alcohol.
Strong, prickly carbonation. Slightly thick texture.
Flavor is quite sweet but without being cloying. Moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering.
Very good and pleasant take on a triple.

33 cl bottle poured chilled into a snifter in Toulouse, France.
Short head doesn’t present with density.
Nose is sweet and malty, a distant spice trying to break through.
Taste is malt dragging in some hops, the inherent sweetness of the style is kept in check. Good balance.0 Short bitterness snd no burn on finish.
Mouth is full. Carbonation medium.
Overall, pretty common, but drinkable.

Yum-yum. What a softie tripel for a malt-head like me.
We generally like tripels for all their spicy surprises. Not many here, but that makes it a good table ale in my book and, I speculate, the French palate. Soft, lovely, and friendly with a simple mozzarella/tomato baguette I just ate.
Des Moines Looks pretty appetising too, to start with all the foam could last until the end. Smells are mostly malt, but that is why I like this style (and why it has faded with today's hop-centric preference.) Despite the sweet malt, Tastes are well balanced somehow. Soft and luxurious, but some more triple spark should be considered for the next batch.
Only my second from Goudale, I give very good Overall Hugs and explain why in my first review.

Blonder 8% 75Cl Flip-top bottle. Lable marked 'World beer awards 2021 - France - Silver).
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, glucose syrup [!?], wheat, hops. BB: 31/10/24. Bottled with 2ndary fermentation.
L- Pours mid gold. Off-white 1Cm head, holds well.
S- A little spicy on the nose.
T- A little hoppy-dry into balanced malts. Bright and interesting, with some balancing meaty richness. It hides it's 8% well, nevertheless it's a meaty slow-sipping beer.
F- Meaty, now warming a touch of a bolder character emerges. A beer for slow-sipping.
O- Glucose-syrup = very disconcerting. Despite which seems a pleasant beer. Pretty hefty so one for when you're in no rush.

Poured from a bottle at fridge temp. Pours a nice clear yellow with tons of bubbles throughout. Not as much head as other tripels, but still a lot. Good retention. Nose is vanilla, cream, orange, wheat, apricots and apples. Maybe a hint of caramel. Lovely. The taste is great. A slight hoppy bitterness, orange, wheat, grass, apricot, and leather. Definitely a bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is relatively light and dry. Alcohol is not detectable.
