Attractive crystal-clear golden amber with abundant foam in the tall glass. Aroma is faintly beery with some roasted grain in the nose. Light and prickly mouthfeel. Flavor is bready with a finish of vegetable cooking water. I would say this is a pretty average light beer, and not that great compared to so many others in the Helles style. At least it's not too sweet and there is a touch of fruit. From the 500 ml can purchased on the west coast. Number 30831 stamped on the bottom.

Pours clear gold colour. Foamy head receding to a light ring. No lacing. Let’s bot complicate what”s a mild beer. Aroma mix of malt sweetness and perceived apricots and peach. Same with taste with.added cereal flavours. Low bitterness high carbonation. Light. Crisp. Good overall.

I’m starting to think Helles style beers are not for me because they’re too light.

I'm increasingly impressed by how Stiegl's lagers are good lunch beers. Helles are particularly good lunch beers for me and Stiegl's is a particularly good Hell.

Stiegl's Hell Looks only slightly above the average, a decent foam but it goes away as does the liveliness. I don't detect much more than malt in my nose. Tastes are well-balanced; plenty of sweet malt to salivate while I eat and with just enough hops to linger in the finish and reward my buds kindly. Medium-mouthed, soft; but also cleansing enough of the palate.

Stiegl's is traditional, but they are also inventive and this contributes to their success as Austria's largest independent brewer. Prost !

Nice clean Helles style beer. Reminds me a little of Tegernseer in its simplicity. Some citrus, herbal notes. Very mildly hoppy, but possibly a little hoppier than I might expect from a true Hell. Very nice, withal.
Good job.

Decent daily, but nothing special, particularly not in 500ml cans.

16.9 oz. can poured into Libby's tall "craft beer glass" — a wide stick
("34931" printed on bottom of can"

L: clear yellow to almost a dark yellow, call it pale gold, SRM 3-4; topped with huge fluffy head of white foam; no major sticking or lacing; keeps a thin but constant collar of white foam; clarity isn't true crystal clear, but it's awfully close, maybe as much as 97-99%

S: peachy, sweet bread ... very malty, peach kolache, hints of honey and honeysuckle and maybe something floral; more than anything, this is showcase of barley malt on the light side; hints of grain, toasted rice, barley; becomes a bit muted over time with the intensity of the aroma notes falling from 8/10 down to 4/10 or thereabouts; still very pleasant

T: toasted bread, sweet bready malt, hints of peach and apricot ... similar to the nose but not as sweet with a very light layer of earthiness from the hops to balance; this again is very much a malt-driven show with occasional hints of honeysuckle and a floral something again ... lavender maybe; the bit of earthiness seems to be growing a little over time, nowhere near pilsner level but still you can detect some spicey hops

F: light and crispy, nothing out of bounds, almost watery up front at times but well filled out by the carbonation

O: fantastic beer, easy to handle and full of light malt flavors with a great blast of bready sweetness in the nose

Clear golden yellow with fizzy white foam. Slight staleness on the initial sip, but then the hops and some barely noticeable malt sweetness take over. Generally a crisp, refreshing drink, and very easy at 4.5%.

Pours a very pale yellow color with a thick head & quite a bit of lacing. Minimal smell (very tiny skunky scent) and flavor though. Definitely easy drinking, especially with only the smallest of after tastes, but there's not much to it. A slight fruity sweetness up front was all that was on offer with this one. Very expensive in my area, so this one is a pass on a potential repeat buy.
