11/08/04- Sampled at the Steelhead Brewery in Burlingame, CA
Appearance- Awesome heaping head and excellent lacing. Nice dark amber coloring.
Smell- Very little smell. Not too bitter, a bit of malt and hop.
Taste- Dry and bitter just like the description. Not exceedingly bitter though. I should have tried this one before the stout.
Mouthfeel- Light carbonation, bitter on the back of the tongue. Goes down nice for an ESB.
Drinkability- I like this one very much, which is high praise from me because I typically don't like EBS's at all. So, maybe that means it is a fairly weak ESB. It's not super bitter like others.
