475ml brown bottle with a swing-top cap poured in a pint glass. Same bottle as the other reviews, just with a different neck label. I still dig them though.
Clear, dark gold with a hint of brown in colour. Off-white head is 1/2 inch on the pour but recedes to a thin cap.
Grainy, musty, and honey sweetness in the aroma.
Flavour is grainy with adjuncts off the start. Cloying sweetness kicks in the middle. Petrol notes appear here and there. Aftertaste of wet gym socks.
Thin and watery. Light carbonation.
Another less than impressive offering from Specklebelly's. I had high hopes when I walked in their off-sale and saw their bottles, selection of imports (including Chimay and Fullers among others) and well laid out store. I thought that perhaps the proprietors were good beer lovers and had this quiet little nirvana well kept. I haven't been impressed with any of the 3 regular beers I bought (only one I didn't buy was their strawberry lager) and I have no inclination to go back and buy a 2L of their seasonal. I hope this is the last Specklebelly beer I ever have to drink.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
