Big foamy 2+ finger fluffy head with good retention, soapy lacing, mostly clear golden pale color with lots of sediment
Nose brings Belgian sweet golden malts, cereal grain straw and dough but more Belgian than farmhouse, various fruits from citrus, to apple and pear, and white grape wine, sweet candy notes, like blondie cake with honey icing or something like that
Taste brings more malts up front, big Belgian blonde doughy cake batter like, a bit more blondie dessert candy, again some honey, little toffee and candi sugar, vanilla cake, into fruits with more apple pear pome fruit, citrus, phenol spices, rich candy malt, a bit of warming mostly smooth alcohol, a bit of bitterness on the semi sweet finish
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, very high effervescent carb, fair warming mostly smooth alcohol
overall pretty good, a nice big Belgian blonde

Hard to rate this one by style because it is its own thing. A strong blonde/triple made by a farmhouse brewery. That being said this beer is exactly what you would think it is.
After unscrewing the cage, the cork shot right off. No foam over though. Poured into a la moneuse glass with about as much foamy head as you'd expect from this brewery. Almost three fingers with a fairly gentle pour.
Lots of complexities and a nice round 8% abv.
Fruit - Apricots and Nectarines
Medium yeastiness
The slightest hint of tartness
Starts slightly sweet, ends pretty dry with a mild herbal/grassy bitterness. Just enough to balance the beer out.
As good as anything they make and they make some bangers.

Hazy orange, coarse sudsy foam rapidly rises and settles to an unbroken skim.
Rustic aromas of mineral-laden well water, expressive Belgian yeast esters, dried apricot and pear.
More yeast esters in the taste, faint peach candy rings, apple and pear, wet barley, subtle bitterness and a pervasive phenolic note of pepper that numbs the palate.
Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, biting astringency. Feels better after a few swirls of the glass. Overall it’s rustic and unique, right up there with Blaugies’ core lineup.

Fortunately, I bought 2 bottles and now review the second in full on 6/30/23.
In short, I'm impressed ! BDB Looks like it has a thriving yeast; a full foam forcing the grains to kick up cloudiness. Smells are full hard fruit orchard; apples and pears are my guess. Tastes are balanced; and with all this ABV and fruit competing for attention, balance is a virtue. Feel is full fruit, cleansing like fruit is after a meal.
My mistake was to have BDB with dinner and it is fine by itself. But dinner was pasta with pesto and BDB cut thru the herbs and oil and garlic. While I'd rarely use BDB as a table ale, it showed enough restraint to let a few foods find their way. But my mistake is understandable because Blaugies is primarily a brewer of saisons for the table. BDB worked out fine. I want more.
