A monstrously big beer. Definitely not for the weak at heart. Intense notes of resinous pine and grapefruit, with a huge malt bill follow-up, bathed in caramel sweetness and solvent alcohol warmth. Hopped frontwards, backwards and sideways with 24 pounds of hops. Sip responsibly!
Flavor: Incredibly bold, with citrus/grapefruit flavor and strong hop character
Malts: Pale, White Wheat, Crystal
Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Pilgrim, Citra, plus dry-hopped with Sorachi Ace
Bitterness Units: 90

On tap at Barley Creek. ABV for this particular batch is 11%, and they don't consider this a triple IPA, but promote as their Double IPA. Appearance isn't anything to get excited about and the smell is somewhat disappointing. Taste and especially feel make up for the slight deficiencies, however. Would rank much higher, but the alcohol presence isn't hidden as well as I'd prefer, but still excellent!

A monstrously big beer. Bursts of Lupulin aroma unleashes intense notes of resinous pine and grapefruit while the huge malt bill follows behind it with some caramel sweetness and solvent alcohol warmth. This beer is brewed with over 38lbs of centennial and cascade hops for a 5 bbl batch and passes through a Peter Autin hop percolator before the fermentation process begins.
This beer is released yearly in vintages. Brewed for the first time in 2011.
