Had a sampler of 5 styles at Dobbin Center location. Hailed as a Western Canadian style beer, whatever that is, this poured a clear gold with a light head and full carbonation. The nose was of a malty/grassy mixture that was not too bad. The flavor was light but balanced, the finish was not crisp as one would expect but this was still a decent drinking beer.

Bar Wench Brew is Rocky Run's basic, golden ale and its aroma and flavor profile fit the bill. It's basic, but it's supposed to be. And, at the very least, it's clean and reasonably well-brewed.
A slightly hazy (chill haze?) golden/amber body is capped by a thin lid of white foam that receeds shortly and leaves only spotty lacing as it goes. The nose is clean and lightly grainy. It's medium bodied w/ some dextrins to it; and it's lightly crisp and smooth across the palate due to its fine and moderate carbonation. Sweetish grainy malt dominates the flavor profile but it's balanced nicely by a firm bitterness and subtle touch of floral hops. It finishes clean and soft with a sweet malt note that fades quickly from the aftertaste. An OK beer with some crab legs or ribs!
