Appearance: Deep golden orange aroma with a touch of haze and a large off-white head, which retains quite well; carbonation is slight with excellent broken lacing.
Aroma: Massive pinesap aroma with abundant sweet malt; this beer is dry hopped after fermentation.
Taste: Begins with abundant sweet, solid caramel malts, soon followed by massive citrus and pinesap hops. Near the finish, there is a lingering flush of caramel sweetness amid the strong hops. The finish is fairly dry.
Mouth feel: Rich and full, does not disappoint.
Drinkability/notes: Brewed to celebrate The Bitter Ends one-thousandth batch of beer, hence the name. According to the brewer, the style is Pale Barleywine, O.G. 1.085, 45 IBUs. Hopefully this excellent barleywine will be offered from time to time, it would be a pity if it were not.
