Had on cask at Volo during Toronto Beer Week. Pours a cloudy orange with cloudy white head with nice lacing. Smells of lots of spices, lemona and citrus hops. Flavour is quite bitter for the style, but I like it. This was my favourite of the four Biergotter beers at Volo. I want more of it!

On tap at Volo during the DDC launch party. It says something about my regard for biergotter that I'd go fo this even with so much Dieu du Ciel around!
Hazy peach pour with a finger of frothy head. Some nice lacing. Huge spicy fruit nose, with big sweet citrus and pineapple, vying with a dash of pepper. Big fruity saison with lots of peach and tropical fruit to provide a balancing sweetness to the tartness of the wheat. Lightly drying in the tail. No real funk, but saison's a broad style, and this one is damn drinkable. Good cask body, though I think this one would be better on regular tap.
A great start to Volo's brewing operations - kudos to Russ, Eric and Ralph for getting this thing going.

The head is super frothy but not too deep, over a very cloudy pour the colour of an apricot.
The smell is really forward on Amarillo hops, there's the sensation of a fresh white grape popping in your mouth. Sweet and interesting, a bit orangey and spicy.
The beer has a sweet and tart flavour, florally hoppy and slightly bitter, with grape, peach, pineapple, fresh grassiness, and a little bit of earthiness. Really quenching.
The beer is medium bodied and feels good in the mouth, with a slightly drying, spicy finish.

Great cask, peachy colour with some whitish head. Orange Amarillo hop smell. Taste initially lactose, then grapefruit, pineapple. Hoppiness supposedly below 40 but builds up to what seems as 60. Pepper in the finish.Mystery ingredient which I would not reveal in company what the brewer said it was.
