On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent looking dark amber to red color. Bar pour's kind of milky white head dissipated quickly. There wasn't any lacing.
The smell had some caramel, toffee and a light nuttiness rolling over earthy hops here and there.
The taste was a semi-sweet to slightly earthy nutty maltiness rolling over a decent bitter earthy hoppiness.
The mouthfeel was about a light to medium on the body with an okay sessionable feel about it.
Overall, I'm not knocking this one, its good for what it is, its just nothing over the top.
