Decent kvass, although very sweet one. A little goes a long way as a welcome beer in a tasting. Give this to the non-alcoholic crowd too, they thought it a Russian soft drink which is kind of the correct perception.

Poured from a slender 1,5l brown plastic bottle into a large tapered mug. Kvass #17.
Cyrillic label with zero English, a tiny emblem with "Belarus" and the Belarusian flag, a black & white nutrition label slapped on the side, and a tiny best by label, printed "06 15 13". Ingredients printed on the nutrition label include Kvass concentrate (rye, barley, wheat). The only way I learned the name of it was at the register where it rung up as "Lidsky Kvas".
Instant soda fizz that disappears in seconds. Dark reddish brown with good clarity, it glows with a ruby glint when held to the light. No lace or foam, still glassy surface with some tiny pinhole bubbles seeping up around the sides.
Carob and raisin aroma, a little more bready that the typical Kvass, though still fairly typical. Sweet sticky maple, cola, tootsie roll.
Flavors are similar, more raisin and carob, again some rye bread and unfermented wort.
Watery and blah after the first couple sips. Sort of dull and plain. Sweet honey aftertaste. Getting a little sugar rush.
It's a drinkable beverage, but not recommended.
