Poured a deep brown with minimal head. Nose was sweet and smelled of good malt. Taste was malty but not bitter like an ESB should be. Actually no bitterness at all. Dont know what happened to this beer. Tasted good but as an ESB I have to rate it as bad. As an amber or something it would be good.

Pours brownish caramel with 2 fingers of sand colored head. Above average head retention & lacing
S: Some fruityness, a bit of chocolate, then citrus & leafy hops
T: Citrus & herbal hops, fruittyness (apples & pears), chocolate, toasted grain & caramel up front. Leafy hops, caramel & fruittyness come the fore as this warms. Finishes with a hint of cocoa, caramel, leafy & herbal hops
MF: Medium bodied with a bit of chewyness, low carbonation & superb balance
Drinks too easy, great example of the style with a subtle American hop twist. Another beauty from the hometown heroes, if you get a chance, try this
