A delightfully refreshing Spring Saison. Light, crisp, and slightly fruity. This 6.2% ABV "session" beer was brewed using rose hips, orange zest, and a pinch of lemon zest.

Served on-tap in a snifter.
Body is cloudy golden yellow crowed with 1 finger of fluffy white head. The head retention was quite good.
The nose is complex and interesting. Rich bready malts intermingled with mellow yeast notes forms the bulk of what I smell in this beer, but the story does not end there. Some additional yeast spiciness and a touch of honey take this aroma to the next level.
Piles of light toasted malt layered with tangy yeast notes is the first taste to hit my palate as I sip this ale. Sweet spice, toasted bread, light and airy floral hops add a slight zip, and all this is topped off with a smattering of 'springtime' flavors I can't quite put a finger on (probably these are the rose hips and citrus zest).
The mouthfeel is light and surprisingly smooth, with good overall balance and carbonation.
Conclusion: This is a wonderfully crafted ale, and a unique take on this open-ended style. In my book this beer takes second place in the tasty lineup of beers I have tried from Bristol.

Thanks again to Ratman for sharing another one with me last Saturday at Wynkoop. Poured a hazy medium yellow color with a lingering white head. Aromas of straw, yeast and light citrus. On the palate, this one was light to medium bodied and smooth, with flavors of straw, yeast and citrus peel.
