When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. But when life throws in strawberries too, you get this: a sweet, sour and tart mash-up of two classic summer tastes. Drink it in, best enjoyed to a soundtrack of sprinklers, the splash of a pool and distant lawn mowers. 5 IBU

16 ounce can into willi becher glass, best before 9/29/2026. Pours very hazy/cloudy ruby/orange color with a small foamy off white head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing really quickly. No lacing and a good amount of streaming carbonation on the glass. Aromas of big tart/vibrant strawberry and lemon juice/zest, with light grains. Taste follows with big juicy/tart/vibrant strawberry, lemon juice/zest, wheat, grain, white sugar, and light herbal/grassy hops. Light herbal/citrus bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body. Fairly crisp/clean/refreshing finish. Balanced grainy malt and fruit acids/tang in the mouthfeel. Lingering acidic/tangy dryness with no cloying/puckering flavors. This tastes exactly like a Strawberry Lemonade soft drink, labeled as a gluten free beer. Minimal warming 5%. I haven't had a beer from this brewery in a while, will buy more soon!

I am now circling back to wrap up this portion of my CT Valley horizontal in support of The CANQuest (tm). You may remember that it beCAN with their Lemonade Spiked Smoothie & progressed alphabetically until I got to Strawberry Banana, at which time I veered away into deep strawberry territory. This one kind of brings me full circle, inCANporating both lemonade & strawberries. I CAN only CANjecture as to whether there was a bumper crop of strawberries at some point to lead to this proliferation of using then as an adjunct in beer.
From the CAN: "Gluten Free Beer".
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug simply because I had no idea what to expect. This series has been all over the map! It beCAN with a rolling, roiling finger of soapy, pinkish (!) head, sort of like freshly-spun cotton CANdy, before quickly falling away to wisps. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Coral (SRM = N/A). 8=O What in the actual?!? Nose once more smelled like Country Time Lemonade mix, but this time, with the added sweetness of strawberry which I am CANming to recognize more easily following so many enCANters with it recently. Definitely fruity on the nose! Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not far removed from it, either. The taste was tart lemonade cut by the sweetness of strawberry & while I remain dubious about the lemon taste's natural flavor, the strawberry was the real thing. I have not had strawberry lemonade in a long time, but this was pretty much how I CAN remember it as tasting. Aside from the tartness, it was a bit sweet for my taste & that is why I generally eschew lemonade in favor of iced tea when the two are proffered. This tasted pleasant enough, but the sweetness eventually wore me down & out. Finish was semi-sweet, thanks to the lemony tartness. It was CANother one & done for me. YMMV.
