On cask at The Twisted Kilt
pours hazy orange, moderate white head, fairly sticky with patches of lace. Smell is spicier than the regualr Black Oak saison, lots of citrus, grapefruit, lemon zest and orange, fairly clean and very lively in the nose. Taste is mostly citrus fruit up front orange mostly, grapefruit and a light yeasty presence, tart at points. Mellow carbonation, medium body but felt a touch light on the palate and at times watery. Overall this was quite nice, I would certainly have this again if I see it, nice variation of the original.

On cask at the Victory fest, have had this a couple times before.
Pours a hazy orange, very bright colour, medium white head forms, quickly drops to a thin ring, some lace spots, looks good. Smell is great, like orange marmalade, tons citrus and spice, coriander, pepper, apricots, orange peel, lemons, wheat, soft malts, very nice. Taste is similar, spicy and orange tang, biscuity malt, wheat, lightly yeast, coriander and pepper, more orange, very intense. Mouthfeel is light bodied wiht low carbonation, very drinkable stuff. Actually does taste like marmalade, love when Ken and Adrian pull this one out.

Enjoyed at Victory cask fest, this recipe works nicely on cask. Ken, head brewer, said it is their regular saison with added lemon peel, orange peel, and grapefruit peel. A light colour with a white head. An average mouthfeel. But a real marmalade taste.
