On cask at the C'est What Fall Festival.
Poured a light gold, with a tight white head. Falls to a thin film, leaving some light lace. Retains well. Nose has pineapple, without the acidity one would usually associate with throwing this into the cask with pale ale. Sweet but gentle malt notes and some non-specific tropical fruits in the background. Quite nice, and very inviting; genuine pineapple to be found here. Taste has alot of the pale ale notes (this is their Black Oak's Pale with fruits added in the cask), with the pineapple still prominent. Some grainy notes and a nice sweet malt. Medium body, and light carbonation - appropriate and nice from the cask. Lightly sweet finish.
I'd be happy to see this hit bottles, if only seasonally. Great, genuine pineapple in the nose. If not, make this more often Black Oak!
