The Vermont Pub & Brewery aged their Wee Heavy Scotch Ale for six months in oak barrels that previously held their Tulach Leis Flanders Red Ale to creat The Sour Scotsman. The color Is a dark brown almost like maple syrup, with very little head. The aroma is sweet and fairly fruity, but the taste is carmelly with hints of vanilla and the tiniest tinge of sour. Not as filling as I'd expected, but pretty drinkable, with a mouthfeel like a dessert wine.
