The appearance was a dark burnt amber/orange color, almost brown. Bar pour’s kind of slim white head. Quickly dissipated. Light lacing. The smell had the old school sweet caramel malty toffee goodness going on. With some sweet citrus hops intertwining to a nice balance. The taste was mainly the same as the smell. Light sweet malty aftertaste. Wet sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly smooth and light. Malts aren’t sticky but somewhat clingy. Overall, old school DIPA appeal, I could see myself coming back to it.
