Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a dark ruddy amber color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head. Messy lacing. The aroma starts off with a rich earthy to toasty and caramel smell to it. Light grassy hops. The flavor brings all of the previously mentioned aromas together and has a sharp dried earthiness with the malts in the aftertaste and then the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nicesessionability about it. Low carbonation lets it be almost cloying, but ends up escaping that. Overall, good Amber ale that I would have again.
