Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a brownish sort of black color with a creamy to off white foamy finger’s worth of head. Sly sticky lace. The aroma leads with some chocolate, subtle banana, some smoke and a touch of coffee. The flavor balances nicely between all of the previously mentioned flavors. Barely an aftertaste, but semi-sweet with a touch of the banana to soften on into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body, almost porter like, it’s quite soft with a low carbonation all about it. Smooth. Overall, seems to hit everything the Pub wanted to do. I’d probably have again, especially for a dessert.
