Was lucky enough to ask what was on cask on New Years, and this Oak Aged IPA was one of the offerings.
The color looked to be the same as the regular bombay grab IPA- pale amber, just a bit cloudy. The head retention was decent, and there was a good amount of lacing. The smell was typical IPA stuff- quite floral, a bit citrusy, and some suggestions of pine. The taste I found to be a big improvement over the regular- it definitely aged well and the oak seemed to have added some subtle layers of complexity. Mostly hoppy- not really a balanced IPA, but I like that. Mouthfeel was just a bit thin, and very very smooth. Very much a sessionable brew- they should definitely age more of this stuff. delicious.
