Whoa. This one was delivered to my table a cloudy, cloudy tan color like fresh pressed apple cider. White head one finger thick displayed weak retention and soon became a thin skim. But it laced remarkably well, in sheets at first. Almost no aroma, though the floral hops and lotus flowers do come through. The flavors were quite enjoyable and unusual. Semi-sweet rye and 'wet' yeast, floral hops in the middle and an herbal finish. As it warms the lotus flowers begin to impart their unique pleasantry. Creamy, ultra smooth mouthfeel aided by the typical VT Pub low carbonation. This is a highly experimental beer and I'm told the cloudiness was accidental but it's a great offering and one of the best beers they have produced in a while. Like dating a model, hit it while you can.
