Gold color and clear. No lasting head. No lace.
Golden malt and alcohol aroma. There's also a chemical smell similar to ammonia which is off-putting.
High carbonation for a strong Belgian beer. Lots of alcohol warmth. Some fruit juice notes. I'm noting a lack of Belgian yeast. Warm finish.

Off the tap this beer was a slightly hazy golden color with one-finger of head. The retention was good as a thin layer and the collar retention was excellent leaving sticky, thin bands of lacing. The aroma was very appealing, juicy orange, coriander, tangerine, hints of vanilla and musty malt. The flavors were also delicious like a muscular Belgian white. I tasted Curacao orange, coriander, citrus tartness from the hops, alcohol, and a sweet malt backbone. The citrus notes added to the acidity of the experience. The mouthfeel was smooth, the body medium/full and the carbonation perfect. Very enjoyable and a little dangerous at 8.3%; one of the best beers this local institution has brewed in a long time.
