On tap at Vermont Pub & Brewery on 6/12/11.

A - Clear amber liquid with a slim white head that reduced to a patchy veil and deposited some stringy lacing around the glass.

S - Fragrant melange of fresh hops imparts citrus, pine and a hint of perfumy notes. Reminds me of sweet hard candy and lime juice for some reason. The nose is quite juicy.

T - Juicy and citrusy with a pronounced hop character. This is hoppier than their IPA, actually. Malt character is sweet overall. A hint of alcohol twang also entered the fold midway through.

M - Light to medium bodied with a slick, oily texture and minimal carbonation. Bittersweet on the palate. Finish is bright and hoppy.

D - OPA is a pretty bangin' pale ale with lots of juicy hop goodness. Go with this one over the Bombay Grab IPA.

Note: all organic with cascade, simcoe, citra and sorachi ace

Pours a nice golden color with a one-finger head.

Citrus and mango flavors greet the nose. Wow, its impressive.

More of that citrus dynamic in the taste. Not mouth-puckering. Just right. The addition of citra and sorachi ace adds a level of exotica. Not to be overlooked, the malt is buttery.

Lingering citrus flavors and buttery malt.

I really like this pale ale. If they dry hop it, it might blow my mind.

On tap poured into a sampling glass.

Pours a very bright ruby/amber color with no head to speak of, nose is amazing, very hoppy an fresh, the sim or comes through very well. Tropical fruit and herb dominate it, GREAT job guys!

Taste is almost as good as the nose, very fresh, fruity and sweet. Very well balanced and hop-forward. It's a big stand out and super tasty.
