Mad Mountain Pale Ale

Not sure about the ABV on this one because I neglected to write it down but if I recall correctly it's in the neighborhood of a sessionable 5%.

This is a fairly clear light gold colored brew with a decent head and good lacing. The aroma is mild, with traces of the fresh hops but more malt overall. Vaguely sweet. Taste is very well balanced, it's not an IPA in disguise, and goes right down the middle between the mildly toasty and sweet malt and a pretty straightforward hop profile with restrained bitterness. Carbonation and mouthfeel are both on the light side of the spectrum and seem a bit lacking to be...slightly watery and not enough life on the tongue for my tastes. Finish is fairly short and dry with a slight lingering bitterness.

Not bad but not too exciting either, very average, kind of a playing-it-safe APA that will appeal to a wide range of drinkers but not those who are looking for big flavors or anything adventurous.
