First had: on tap at their brewpub

The Scottish Stout was advertised on a small blackboard near the front door, no listed ABV, and I'm not completely sure if it was on tap or hand-pump. 8oz. pour (only option) into a mini-stein, jet black with a thin eggshell head that quickly dissipated to nothing, and left no lacing on the glass. Pretty standard roast malt aroma. Taste of dark roasted malts, notes of semi-sweet chocolate and caramel. Nothing really distinctive or unique, but still decent. Mouthfeel was a bit thin, coming in at about medium-bodied, with some prickly carbonation. I'd estimate the ABV at around 4.5-6% max. A so-so stout overall.
