This beer is decent and drinkable, but both rather bland and unexciting as well as a little too bitter for the flavour.
Darkish gold, it has a decent, medium off-white head that steadily shrinks and leaves a little weak lace.
The aroma is weak grain and hops.
The taste is light and lacks complexity while being slightly off balance to the bitter side. This is one of their weaker beers, but still not bad, and better than Beer Esteam.

I really enjoyed this Golden Ale. It came with a large, light head that left a little lacing. The smell had hints of banana and grain but nothing overpowering. Good refreshing taste with balance of hops and malt that had a little extra carbonation in the mouth. Overall, I would have this again. This was my first beer from Russian River and it won't be my last.

Dry sticky light haze settles over the top of the clear, robust gold body. Malted wheat grain nose a bit stank and all together fitting.
Taste is crispy cereals, toasty, soft and full, spreading into the after. Medium to high soft carbonation. On the dry side. A welcoming flavorful blonde.
Nice to have one of these and bring your taste buds back down to earth after a Pliny or two. Sucked this down at Barclay's on College, which seems to have more and more RR brews of late.

Appearance This one poured a light yellow in color with a modest head that left some nice lacing.
Smell The light grain was easy and showed some good sweetness that was sugary and mated well with the malt.
Taste This is big American grain. Its head and shoulders above the standard US macro swill, thats for sure. The sweets are refined sugars and provide a good finish to this ale.
Mouthfeel This one is a bit bigger than light-bodied with some good, strong carbonation.
Drinkability This isnt the best beer on the Russian River menu, but take it for what it is and, compared to other American Blonde Ales, is a real standout.

Tap@Russian River. Had it under the name blonde ale, or at least thats what the girl behind the bar said it was. Pretty malty, grainy and lemony, pretty simple. Not one of their better beers, but we were trying everything so we thought it might be worth a go. My verdict is stick to the stronger stuff!!!
