Blind Pig Inaugural Ale

Vinnie and Natalie christened their new 5 barrel pilot brewery in Windsor the day after Thanksgiving by rebrewing the original Blind Pig Inaugural Ale recipe from 1994! Blind Pig Brewing was located in Temecula, CA, and was Vinnie's first foray into professional brewing. He and Natalie made the first batch at Blind Pig, the Inaugural Ale, which was believed to be the first ever commercially brewed Double or Imperial IPA. Although the recipe is nearly identical (including oak chips in the fermenter) it was brewed on a brand new modern stainless brewhouse, a vast improvement from the old Blind Pig days! Only 3.5 barrels were made, so this beer is very limited!
