July 27th, 2015 - Beer three on the Russian River taster list is Gaffer's Bitter. The aroma has a light stoney quality, like a Grisette. But the body is substantial. A light nuttiness plays well with the caramel note, and a delicious toastiness. The toast flavor surges and coasts all the way through to the aftertaste, inviting an enjoyable moment to savor the taste well after each sip.

Sight: Pale, slightly hazy, white medium head goes away quickly
Smell: Cereal, grains, nutty 4.25 Tastel: lightly bitter
Feel: long finish, long nice bitter aftertaste, balance, lingers in taste buds
Overall: Very good ok to repeat and look for
