Aroma is grapefruit and pine, a little bit grassy in the background.
Taste follows the nose. A light but noticeable bitterness.
Overall: definitely a decent IPA from a great brew company.

Didn't know the beer existed, ran into it at Craft in Reno. Nice surprise when you find a new Russian River beer. I remember you'd go years without anything new, but hey, that core lineup speaks.
Pours a clear golden color, looks good, hits that 1/2" white head. Professional. Get your cake up. The aroma doesn't hit as nice as Blind Pig and the Plinys, but its not bad. Notes of pine, grapefruit rind and hay. For being newish experimental hops, they sure do come off like a bunch of well established non proprietary hops, but hey.
The taste goes much the same way, more bittering than aroma hops. Brisk is fitting. Grain, neutral yeast, usual bittering hop descriptors of trees, rind. Chinook is here, and there really isn't much to diversify the heavy lifting that said hop does with the other three.
Hold on, wait a minute, when did the first 16 RnD beers come out? Anyways, this one is good enough for $6 but it doesn't really compare to the core lineup of hoppy stuff.

This pours clear with a generous head of foam. I’m getting a bold hop aroma, zesty, with lots of earthy notes—pine needles and some sap, citrus pith, some dried hay. The sip follows, with a welcomed bitter finish. No complaints here. Wish I tried the first 16.

Pours a clear golden color with a nice retentive head.
Smells very piney, and somewhat grassy.
Very nice bitter bite right away, then some grassy notes overtake. I'm getting notes of melon, citrus, and very little yeast. Finishes nice and bitter.
