On-tap at the Toronado - numerous flutes worth. Apparently this is a blend of Temptation and 2010 Framboise for a Cure (Sonambic base)?

A - Finger of white foam settles to some wisps, a collar, and splotchy lacework. The body is a transparent salmon color with an orange tinge to it.

S - Sweet Tarts candy, raspberries, vanilla, light oak, lactic character, musky funk.

T - Taste is similar, with plenty of raspberries, Sweet Tarts, lactic sourness, a hint of acetic character, and a touch of funk.

M - Super dry, with that candy texture I get from certain sours. Moderate carbonation, medium-light body, no alcohol presence.

D - Nice stuff, but seems to be a tad less than the sum of its parts. Still, it's a delicious Russian River sour that I'd gladly crush all night long - just wish we'd had actual FfaC on-tap instead.

 

On tap at Toronado. Pours a clear pinkish golden amber. Small white head quickly settles to a ring and leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma is big raspberry, a light mineral note, grapefruit, some funk, lemon, and a bit of lactic. The initial taste has a raspberry sweetness, but is also quite tart with some lactic. There is also some lemon, tangerine, and grapefruit present. The finish is quite funky and dry with a lingering grapefruit flavor. Medium-light body. Low-Medium carbonation. A solid beer. I enjoyed it more than 2011 FfaC, but not as much as 2010 FfaC.

 

 

On tap at 'Tion night at Toronado. First time I've seen it anywhere.

A: Pale red, with a hint of pink. 1/2 finger of pinkish head.

S: Big raspberries and funk. Nice.

T/M: Just as you would expect from the heritage (it's a blend of Framboise and Temptation), it tastes like a well-blended mix of a raspberry lambic and a sour blonde. A bit of mouth-puckering and drying. Light carbonation, very nice.

O: Good stuff. Made we want to try FFaC itself even more. A nice beer, but a blend that doesn't seem additive to the frambroise, though it definitely adds an extra dimension to Temptation. Delighted I got to try it on draft three blocks from my apartment.

Draft at Toronado during Tion night 2012. A blend of Framboise for a Cure and sour blond ale. Pinkish-gold hue in the glass with a fleeting finger of head. Smells quite acidic and citrus forward with a nice tart raspberry undertone, cheesy funk, hay, a bit lactic. Palate is very lactic and sour, mildly acetic with light raspberry tartness. Body is light and the finish has some nice tannins. Pretty good stuff, but not as good as FfaC on its own.
