Each time we make this ale we pick a different single variety of hops and use them exclusively in the brew. The malt bill stays fairly consistent from batch to batch so as to allow the distinctive hop flavors to come through. This batch is made with experimental hop #462 from Jason Perrault at Perrault Farms.

Growler purchased at the brewery poured into snifter the follow day.

A: Pours a clear golden color with a rather moderately sized oily off-white head. Head slowly faded into a greasy collar that left soapy, spotty lace down the glass.
S: Sweet exotic fruits dominate the nose with mild notes of pineapple and papaya, Fresh hop resin is prominent.
T: Interesting mild citrus profile with a hint of tropical and perfumey floral hops. Fruity and floral with bitter citrus rind coming through in the finish. Pale biscuit malt just barely pokes through the juicy fruity hops along with a hint of mint.
M: Medium body, smooth and slick mouthfeel, tingly and light carbonation. Drinks well.
O: An excellent and interesting hop used this time. On the milder side flavor-wise, but extremely smooth, delicious and unique.
