Pours a nice amber color with a thin-head. Was hoping for more of a head. Tap lines?
Aroma is sweet with just a hint of malt. Kind of hard to detect.
Taste is where this shines. Smoky, biscuity flavors. Only a slight hop bite. More malt here. Interesting balance between sweet and smoky.
All flavors linger but kind of underwhelming mouthfeel. Perhaps I'm just picky?
Not bad but could be done better. Creative but needs to warm up in order to really to open up aroma/flavor. That and they need to clean the glasses or the tap lines better. I like to see beer with a head and none of the beers they served me had one. Don't get me wrong. I love the place and the bartenders are awesome (I don't care what the out-of-town folks think). The beer could shine more though.
