This beer has popped up before *around* but no one has added it. This is different than the regular Sour Red they have and was brewed by Scott Martin.
12 oz pilsner glass pour last night at Three Needs. Beautiful hazy red that reminds me of red leather. Some thin off-white head on top. Nose is full of honey comb, you know, that waxy smell from real honey. Some black cherry cola aromas sneak past the dominate honey aroma. The palate swings the other way though. Lots and lots of sour red cherry flavors mixed with some red wine vinegar notes, but a medium- to medium-full body supports the acidity really well! Finish is well balanced and more of the floral honey comes back.
Notes: Another really well-constructed sour ale from a seemingly unlikely source. These guys can do sour really freakin' well. Don't miss out on this.
