A: Opened a half-growler and poured into a pint glass. Slightly cloudy brown with a thin off-white head. Appears a bit flat, but the color is appealing.
S: Smell is pretty subdued, with feint toasted malts and hops. Not really strong enough to be able to distinguish the hop character.
T: This is where it gets much better. Great toasted grain, caramel and lightly fruity maltiness which leads into a nice, herbal and earthy hop character and a dry, bittersweet finish. Slightly watery body prevents this from being really great.
M: Also a bit lacking, carbonation is a bit too low, and the body is good (medium) up until the finish, which feels a bit watery.
O: The taste makes this a great session beer. I finished the half-growler (about two and a half glasses) in less than an hour, which is testament to that. Could use some improvements, but good overall.
