The dry hopped best bitter is served under high pressure utilizing beer gas. This results in a softer palate than the Pale Ale, with a thick creamy head.

Review from notes. Enjoyed on tap. Described simply as the House English Bitter.

Appearance - dark ruby red with good clarity. Medium finger of off-white head. Above average retention.

Smell - Clean with some grain and a little dark fruit mixed with stone fruits.

Taste - Pretty much like the nose with that smooth and subtle English hops for middling bitterness and easy drinkability.

Mouthfeel - Smooth and reasonably light. While not a standout certainly a beer you could enjoy a lot of over an extended period.

Overall - A good easy drinking bitter. Would love to enjoy this one again.

This lists as a retired beer, but they are still serving it at the Pepperwood on their regular beer menu. I had this with my meal the other night and I thought that it would be worthwhile sharing my thoughts on this one.

This arrived to me a nice dark red with a slight head at the top of the glass. A slight hop and malt character in the nose, not bad at all. This brew tasted malty, slightly bitter, but the finish was a little weak. Near the bottom of the glass it started to get very watery.

It's a good looking brew, but it lacks character, unfortunately.

Golden flow yellow. Very dry. Decent drinkable bitter. Average for their quite decent lineup. Worth going once out of town. This goes with food or by itself. Not much else in taste, though a spot of fruit. Light mouthfeel. Some lace there. They held back in carbonation, which was a good idea.
