This French-style saison is a previous Brewer’s Reserve beer that has been promoted to the seasonal line up. This slightly dry beer has earthy notes, plus some extra flavor from added lemongrass and red and white peppercorns.

Murky, orange color. Big , white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, lemon, and spices. Rather dry, yeasty taste, though there is some sweetness. Medium body, high carbonation. Decent saison.

Pepper comes through quite a bit; some fruit notes.

At first I wasn't sure about this beer, it seemed like an OK saison without much going on. After having a few more and letting them warm a bit and using a glass with laser etching to keep a head, this beer really changed. Lots of flavor elements from Belgian yeast to peppery spice to sweet bubblegum and light fruits. Great deal for $10 a 6 pack. yb

One of the few American farmhouse ales that actually has a Belgian head! It disappeared quickly but left a beautiful lacing behind. Aroma and taste are a tick below other prime examples of the style (Tank 7, Hennepin, etc) but still pretty nice. Overall, a really nice beer that I would happily buy again.

Hazy banana yellow. Dense soapy head
Funk, like a dusty attic basement smell, clove, banana, honey
Banana, clove, you get that funk. Great spicy fruity yeast. Honeydew
Heavier side of medium. Frothy soapy head. Great carbonation its just right.
New Jersey stepping their game up. Way to go River Horse cheers to you. One of the better saisons I've had. Cheers to them.
