A - poured black with an awesome, creamy head
S - smells of burnt malts, and that's about it.
T - burnt malts dominate...nothing else was really going on with it. Not bad, but not good.
M - full bodied and smooth. Nice mouthfeel.
D - the burnt malts overpower, making this a very one-dimensional brew. It got kind of boring after a while, however it was good enough for me to finish a pitcher so it wasn't too bad.

Pours a dark black color. 1/3 inch head of a light tan color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of sweet chocolate up front, good earthy malts, and some slight hops aroma. Fits the style of an American Porter. Mouth feel was thick (slightly chewy) and smooth. Tastes sweet from the chocolate, strong earthy malt flavors, good roasted malt aftertaste and a slight bitterness from some hops in the finish. Overall, a pretty good offering that was worth a try.

A - Dark brown opaque brew with a slight reddish tint around the edges. No head to speak of, and not much lace either.
S - Pretty thin in the nose, but I smell some weak black coffee, hints of dark chocolate, and a tiny bit of cheese.
T - Mellow toffee and marshmallow up front with some big black roasted coffee flavors coming through as it warms.
M - A bit on the thin side with a high level of carbonation and no real structure. This is very thirst quenching for a porter, but it could be a little thicker.
D - An excellent session brew. Thirst quenching and very mellow. A good porter for those who have a "fear of the dark." My girlfriend generally hates stouts and porters, but she really liked this one!
